The Odd Dogs provide an incredible backdrop of musicians (and I don’t just mean how handsome they are);
On piano hailing from Belfast we have Scott Flanigan, one of the foremost piano players on the Irish jazz scene; recently awarded his doctorate he performs intricate musical surgery on those keys. Scott has shared a stage with the likes of Van Morrison and the Ulster Orchestra, along with jazz heavyweights Rob Luft, Ant Law, Jim Mullen, Jean Toussaint and Dave O’Higgins.
Playing sweet dulcet tones on the double, Irish bassist David Redmond who is highly regarded among the Irish and international jazz scene, keeps the backline steady and grooving while bringing a little magic that so many of his peers look to him for. He is often praised in the media for his compelling and original collaborations with renowned Irish and International groups, and musicians such as Van Morrison, Jerry Fish, Tommy Halferty, Luka Bloom as well as his original debut in 2014.
Dominic Mullan on the pots and pans, is an award winning heavy weight Jazz drummer in Ireland and beyond who is highly sought after for his tehcnical prowess. A staple among jazz festivals his drumming skills have been ringing out in such venues as the Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s, The Cork and Wexford Opera Houses. His residency in The International Bar is now synonymous with the Jazz scene in Dublin.
The quartet come together to create the perfect musical atmosphere for every occasion and set the tone off on the right note for your special event.
